OVERVIEW:
NAPAD addresses barriers to education for children who are at risk of exploitation, child marriage, and low income households in Kenya and Somalia. This involves but not limited to school feeding, construction of gender sensitive latrines, berkads and handwashing facilities in schools, providing monthly teacher incentives and distribution of learning materials.
IMPACT:
- 5473 (2427 girls & 3046 boys) school going children in 20 schools accessed quality basic education through school programs in Gedo region.
- 2,048 children from 8 schools received learning materials
- 4520 students benefitted from school feeding programme
- 71 teachers received financial incentives
